Flat Towing

Whether you call it flat towing or dinghy towing the concept is the same, you want to tow your vehicle behind your motorhome. There are four components required to tow your vehicle behind your motorhome which include the base plate, the tow bar, wiring and braking system.

The base plate is installed on the frame on the front of your tow vehicle and provides the attachment point for your tow bar which connects to your motorhome.

The tow bar is the most visible part of your towing system. The tow bar allows you to tow your vehicle and maneuver tight corners more easily than other towing methods.

The braking system is required in almost every state. 33 states require a braking system if you are flat towing a vehicle of 3,000lbs or more.
